The Department of Biological Sciences at Mississippi State University invites applications for Instructors with a start date of August 16, 2014. These are full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track faculty positions under the supervision of the department head. Responsibilities include teaching introductory and advanced courses in Biological Sciences (BIO) that may also include lab sections, perform preparatory functions for them, and coordinate and supervise teaching assistants associated with those courses. Teaching courses for extra compensation may be available during summer session. Minimum qualifications: M.S. degree in a related biological sciences field amenable to instruction of BIO courses; minimum of 1 year demonstrated instructional experience at the university or community college level; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; strong organizational and computer skills as well as experience in supervising others.
