Business Administration: The Chair is responsible for the daily operation of all departmental programs as well as long-term planning, scheduling, and curriculum enhancement. The Chair reports to the Dean of the College of Business Administration. The preferred starting date is August 1, 2014. Provide excellent customer service. The Chair is expected to provide quality service to the students, department, college, university, community, and any other stakeholders. The Chair will teach 2 classes per semester. 1. Earned doctorate in Accounting from a regionally accredited institution or university. Must have 18 graduate hours for every field in which the applicant will teach. 2. Eligibility for tenure and appointment at the associate professor rank or higher. 3. A record of successful teaching and significant intellectual contributions. 4. Familiarity with business AACSB accreditation standards and processes. Progressive leadership responsibilities are desirable, as are certifications appropriate to the discipline. 5. The individual should possess interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with university and external constituents, leadership qualities, collegiality, vision and negotiating skills to maintain and expand the department's potential.
