The Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a lead position in a team of instructors in professional and business communications across our multiple graduate and undergraduate programs. The best applicants will be those who are committed to re-imagining classroom communications training so that we can best equip students for the work world, and who will lead us in discovering innovative ways to deliver and inspire student learning. Prerequisites for success in this role include the ability to build a vibrant learning community within and beyond our existing teaching group; the skills and commitment to collaborate with faculty and staff across our disciplinary departments, programs, and knowledge centers; and a willingness to think creatively about alternative paths to achieving key learning outcomes. Our school intentionally seeks to increase the diversity of our community and of our learning experiences, and candidates who can contribute to these goals are encouraged to identify their strengths and experiences in these areas. This newly established position encompasses administrative and leadership responsibilities as well as some teaching. A Ph.D. is desirable but not required; education in or experience with instructional design is also desirable but not required.
