Associate Professor or Associate Professor of the Practice of Arts Administration
Boston University Metropolitan College seeks to fill a full-time faculty, non-tenure track position at the rank of Associate Professor or Associate Professor of the Practice of Arts Administration starting July 1, 2014, for the graduate program in Arts Administration (http://www.bu.edu/artsadmin/).
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have expertise in the visual arts and an advanced degree(s) in one (or more) of the following areas: Art History, Studio Art, Economics, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Cultural Policy, or Arts Administration; a minimum 5-7 years experience in arts administration, preferably as Executive Director; 5-7 years experience teaching at the university level and a national reputation in the field as either an artist/practitioner or scholar/researcher.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities: Direct the program, teach and develop curriculum for the program’s graduate courses, serve on committees, assume departmental and college administrative responsibilities, and pursue scholarly activities.
