A Full-Time Tenure Track Nursing Faculty Position is available for an enthusiastic individual with significant experience in healthcare systems leadership.  The successful candidate will have recent experience in strategic planning, finance, project management, and healthcare operations.  Lewis Universitys graduate nursing program is growing and dynamic with the introduction of a new DNP program, new core MSN curriculum and new healthcare systems leadership track courses.  Teaching responsibilities will be in both the Masters and DNP programs.  This position offers the candidate an opportunity to join a creative faculty, to develop a program of research, to explore new teaching methodologies and to share knowledge with future nursing leaders.

 

Lewis University College of Nursing and Health Professions offers bachelors, masters and doctor of nursing practice degrees in an environment of personalization, with small class sizes and individualized attention to students.  The MSN program is offered in an accelerated format to meet the unique needs of the working professional nurse.

The successful candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:

  • PhD,  EdD, DNP, or doctoral candidate, in nursing or related field
  • Masters degree in nursing
  • Experience in progressively responsible healthcare leadership positions
  • Excellence in teaching in the academic or service setting
  • Eligibility for Illinois licensure
  • The equivalent of two years of full time clinical nursing required
