The Office of Research of Florida State University seeks to fill the position of Director of Research Compliance Programs. This position reports to the Vice President for Research and works collaboratively with the faculty, staff, and chairs of regulatory committees and the directors/heads of other University units responsible for research compliance. The Director of Research Compliance Programs provides coordination for the administration, support, monitoring, and oversight of a range of research compliance functions.


The position shall be responsible for:  the development, oversight and monitoring of a research compliance programs for the University encompassing issues related to the financial, ethical, and legal aspects of research; identifying areas of compliance vulnerability; monitoring changes in existing compliance requirements and responding to new compliance mandates; and developing, delivering, and tracking educational and training programs related to research compliance.  The position shall serve as the Institutional Official in administering FSU's financial conflict of interest policy.

We seek applicants with extensive research compliance experience in a university or similar academic setting. Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree with six years of experience. Highly desirable is the holding of a master’s degree or other post-baccalaureate degree or applicable certification.
