The Department of Communication and Marketing within the Universitys School of Business is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to teach marketing courses at Centers in Newport News and Chesapeake, Virginia, as well as online. In addition, the new faculty member will assist with academic projects, advising students, and engaging in curriculum development. The successful candidate must display excellence in the classroom (on-ground and online), have experience teaching traditional and non-traditional age students, and demonstrate the ability to use discipline-related computer software. Continued professional development and scholarly research, as well as undertaking community service in keeping with the Universitys Benedictine values will be important. This is a 12-month faculty appointment with two months release time to be determined in consultation with the Department Chair. A doctorate in business from a regionally accredited institution with credentials to teach marketing courses per accrediting guidelines (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours) is required. Military requirements mandate this candidate must be a United States citizen in order to be granted access to the military bases where classes will be conducted.
While serving several locations, this position will be located at the Newport News Office.
