The Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of pancreatic cancer biology and tumor immunology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include determining the mechanisms by which epiphelial-mesenchymal transition causes resistance to immunotherapy.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to further develop critical thinking skills; familiarize with related literatures and experimental techniques; complete work leading to manuscript publications; present research findings in meetings; mentor junior scientists; and participate in career trainings offered by the University.

Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years postdoctoral experience.
