The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for three tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of assistant professor of English. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio, with an enrollment of approximately 6100 students. We are seeking candidates to teach a combination of four writing classes per semester, including developmental, first-year, and intermediate composition. Responsibilities for this position include: 1) teaching courses in our composition sequence; 2) participating in program assessment and curriculum development activities; 3) participating in department, college, and university service; 4) engaging in professional and scholarly activities.

Job Description: On a full-time basis Faculty Members principal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating and reporting knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.

Position Qualification: The department seeks a person with a doctorate in English, Composition and Rhetoric, or a closely related field. While the doctorate degree is preferred, ABD candidates making significant progress towards the terminal degree will be considered. Candidates must have at least three years of college teaching experience in developmental or first-year writing.

Ideal Qualifications: A doctorate in English or Composition and Rhetoric is preferred. Applicants should also have experience serving a diverse population of open-admissions undergraduates.
