Spanish Literature: University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Assistant Professor of Modern Spanish Peninsular Literature. Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Tenure-track position in Modern Spanish Peninsular Literature and Culture at rank of Assistant Professor. Ph.D. by time of appointment in an appropriate area of Hispanic Literature or equivalent field. Area of specialization in 19th-21st Century Spanish Literature. Secondary specialty in Transatlantic Studies, Gender Studies, or Iberian Studies desired. Candidate must have a native or near-native command of English and Spanish; active research program; two years of teaching Spanish at college level. Responsibilities: teaching 2 courses per semester, possibly including literary theory; course development; publishing; service activities. Apply online at and submit documents specified.
