The campus is located on 206 acres in beautiful pine and hardwood forests of East Texas. UT Tyler is forty years old and offers more than eighty undergraduate and graduate degree programs to more than 7500 high-ability students. Continuing its strong commitment to academic excellence, the University recently began its doctoral programs and the undergraduate Honors Program. The University offers Ph.D. programs in Human Resource Development and Nursing.

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences, one of six colleges in the university, prepares students for leadership roles in the health professions and movement sciences by providing practice in a variety of complex, continually changing environments.
