Foreign Language Education: The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at Georgia State University is seeking a full-time Lecturer in Foreign Language Teacher Education pending budgetary approval. Please see http://www2.gsu.edu/~wwwmcl/ for more information about the department at GSU. GSU is located in downtown Atlanta and has a diverse student body. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in hand by August 2014 in Foreign Language Education or a related field. Applicants should have near-native fluency in either French or Spanish. Preference will be given to applicants who hold teaching certification in their language and who have experience teaching their language in US P-12 schools. Candidates should have knowledge of and experience in integrating technology in foreign language instruction and a desire to work with diverse populations. The teaching load is eight courses per year, including teaching courses in foreign language education, foreign language, supervision of teacher candidates and, possibly, technology. The candidate will participate in departmental service including, but not limited to, committee assignments and assisting the department in meeting state and national certification requirements.
