Grove City College announces a full-time faculty opening in Political Science beginning in July 2014. Ph.D. in Political Science or Government is required. Responsibilities include teaching introductory and upper division classes in either American politics (teaching courses in American institutions, public law, and/or political behavior) or Comparative politics (teaching courses in Latin American politics, Asian politics, and/or comparative political institutions). Having American as a primary field and comparative as a secondary field (or vice-versa) would be particularly desirable. Ability to teach research methods in political science a plus.
Candidates must evidence a strong record of classroom teaching, scholarship within their field, and a commitment to instructing highly motivated students (1205 average SAT for entering freshmen). Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.
