Our research infrastructure, innovative curriculum, inspired teaching and community engagement make our School an exciting place for those committed to applied research, scholarship and social work education. We are recruiting outstanding candidates with research expertise in the areas of health/behavioral health, cultural diversity and culturally responsive practice or poverty and economic disparity. Preference is for candidates whose research and teaching demonstrate knowledge about issues and concerns of urban, poor or vulnerable populations.
Candidates must have a doctorate in social work, social welfare or a related discipline. At the assistant level, candidates must have a record of publications and a minimum of three years of full-time faculty experience, teaching and mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students. At the associate and full levels, candidates must have a record of outstanding and consistent publications, external funding, teaching and service that would support being awarded tenure. For candidates interested in teaching courses in foundation practice, a masters degree in social work plus two years post-masters direct practice experience is preferred.
The School of Social Work, accredited since 1945, is a national leader in preparing students for professional practice.
