Indiana University of Pennsylvania seeks a proven leader to serve as Associate Vice President for Human Resources. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in the development of human resource programs, policies and practices.
Reporting to the Vice President for Administration and Finance, the Associate Vice President for Human Resources will play a strategic role in aiding in the achievement of IUPs long-term strategic initiatives. The candidate will plan, develop, implement, direct and administer all aspects of IUPs human resources functions which include: human resource planning, employee recruitment and selection, classification, immigration, and background checks, workers compensation, employee evaluations, labor relations, employee relations, office budget, training and development, and employee benefits.
Required Qualifications: Masters Degree in Human Resource Management, Labor Relations, or related field. Must have at least 7 years of broad human resource experience as a senior manager. Minimum of 7 years of experience as a senior manager of a comprehensive human resources operation at a complex institution with institution with significant experience in higher education, state/federal government or a major corporation. Candidates must communicate effectively and perform well during the interview(s).
