The Department of Political Science at Kansas State University seeks applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor level position in international relations to begin fall 2014. Candidates with a substantive focus in conflict and/or security are preferred. The successful candidate will have a 2-2 teaching load and will offer political science courses in the department and in KSU’s interdisciplinary MA and Ph.D. programs in Security Studies.  Applicants must present evidence of:  publishable research that is theoretically and empirically rigorous; high quality teaching; a commitment to working with diverse students and colleagues; and a commitment to the value of diverse ideas. Candidates should have a PhD in Political Science or have completed their PhD before assuming the position.  Exceptional candidates who are ABD may be considered at the rank of instructor.  Review of applications will begin on December 2, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled.
