Clemson University¹s Department of Languages invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish position in Afro-Hispanic Studies to commence in the fall of 2014. Along with courses pertaining to their field, successful candidates are expected to teach all levels of the Spanish curriculum. We are looking for outstanding teacher scholars who can contribute to interdisciplinary programs. Expertise in Brazilian Literature and/or Portuguese Language is highly desirable.
Required qualifications: Ph.D. by the time the appointment begins; native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English; demonstrated excellence in teaching and research.
