UAFS announces the opportunity for an experienced, dynamic individual to serve in the newly created position of Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management (VCEM). The new vice chancellor must bring proven success in leading a comprehensive and sophisticated enrollment program and the vision, energy, managerial and entrepreneurial acumen, and leadership abilities necessary for the development of a high-quality, evidence-based enrollment program. The VCEM serves as the University's chief enrollment officer and is responsible for developing and leading the implementation and execution of a comprehensive enrollment management plan that is consistent with the University's strategic goals and direction. The VCEM reports directly to the Chancellor and serves on the Chancellor's senior executive team. He/she provides executive management of and supervisory oversight to the personnel assigned to the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, International Programs, Testing, and Registrar. The VCEM provides leadership in designing the institution's enrollment strategy and is expected to make sophisticated use of data, employ high-impact best practices in enrollment management, and inspire others to work collegially, collaboratively and cooperatively in achieving the university's enrollment goals. For a talented candidate, this will be a transformational position in which he/she will lead UAFS to a new phase of success in envisioning, planning for, recruiting, admitting and graduating an increasingly talented and diverse student body.

The VCEM will have an appropriate advanced degree (doctorate preferred) and a minimum of ten years of progressively demanding and substantial higher education leadership experience with contemporary and progressive recruitment, financial aid and enrollment management practices. The new vice chancellor will have a track record of successfully deploying high-impact enrollment practices. Essential skills include the abilities to build teams, lead and manage change, create and maintain a collaborative work environment, and ability to innovate and think strategically to accomplish the University's goals and mission. Demands of the position require strong leadership and administrative skills; effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; a thorough knowledge of recruitment, marketing, admissions, financial aid programs, advisement, and retention policies, principles and practices; knowledge and skill in using qualitative and quantitative data to drive effective program development, marketing, recruitment, admissions and student retention; and strong analytical and critical thinking, project management, problem recognition and resolution skills. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.
