General Summary
Review and process complex course data transactions to the University's data systems, including student data system, course catalog, degree evaluation, and imaging systems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance of accurate course catalog files, including student database and paper files.
- Respond to inquiries from faculty, staff, and students regarding student data systems, course catalogs, degree evaluation, and imaging systems.
- Organize and manage incoming degree requirement changes in the student database degree evaluation system at both university and student levels.
- Input degree requirement changes (i.e., student substitutions and waivers), as necessary, in student database degree evaluation system.
- Provide superior customer service to campus departments and staff.
- Function effectively in a team-based work environment.
- Adhere to any and all NCAA, Mid-American Conference, and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations, and operational procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge and skills in planning, organization, analysis,
problem-solving, data collection, and administrative support
procedures typically acquired through the completion of an
Associate's Degree in Business, Office Technology, or a related
field are necessary.
Minimum of two years of experience in a university Office or
Records/Registration (e.g., Office of the Registrar) or university
Graduation Audit environment is necessary.
Knowledge and skills in word processing and spreadsheet functions,
including the use of reporting applications and database systems,
is necessary.
Proficiency in using an enterprise student information system, such
as Banner, is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, as
well as strong organizational skills, exceptional multi-tasking
skills, and demonstrated attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of an organizational
team is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field is desirable.
