VICE PRESIDENT for ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
Albertus Magnus College (www.albertus.edu) is
seeking nominations and applications for the position of Vice
President for Academic Affairs (VPAA). Appointed by and reporting
to the President, Dr. Julia McNamara, the VPAA is responsible for
directing the design and delivery of all academic programs and
personnel within the College.
Albertus Magnus is a Catholic, four-year, private, liberal arts, coeducational, degree-granting college offering undergraduate and graduate programs. The College, located in New Haven, Connecticut, offers more than 50 undergraduate majors, minors and concentrations, with pre-professional preparation to almost 550 full-time traditional (day) undergraduates and nearly 1,700 continuing education and graduate students. Supporting the mission and values of the College, the new VPAA will supervise the Dean of the evening graduate and undergraduate programs, the department chairpersons and program directors, the registrar, and the director of library and information services.
Albertus Magnus seeks an individual with an earned doctorate; a minimum of seven years proven leadership and professional experience preferable in Catholic higher education; teaching experience with traditional and non-traditional students; and administrative experience at the dean level or above.
