The Bouve College of Health Sciences has over 200 faculty members, with approximately 2,000 undergraduate and 2,400 graduate students. The College comprises 4 schools with 8 departments:
  • School of Clinical and Rehabilitation Sciences (Departments of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Medical Sciences, and Physical Therapy, Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences);
  • School of Community Health and Behavioral Sciences (Departments of Applied Psychology and Health Sciences);
  • School of Nursing;
  • School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Departments of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacy and Health System Sciences)


Cross-disciplinary research programs and appointments are strongly encouraged within the College, and across the University.

The School of Nursing in the Bouve College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University has developed a research-intensive/teaching/learning environment for students and faculty. About The Opportunity

The School of Nursing invites applications for a full-time Visiting Open Rank Non-tenure Track Professor position with anticipated start date in the 2023-2024 academic year, or until the position is filled.

The candidate will have demonstrated teaching excellence and commitment to supporting a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment. The candidate should also have a PhD in Nursing or related field and eligibility for RN licensure in Massachusetts.

We welcome candidates with interdisciplinary expertise who is capable of leading and collaborating with researchers at Bouve and across Northeastern University.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting an independent and externally funded research program, and participating in departmental, college, and university service. Qualified candidates must have expertise in, or a demonstrated commitment to, working with diverse student populations and/or in a culturally diverse work and educational environment.

Qualifications
  • MS Nursing degree in nursing or related field by the appointment start date.
  • Evidence of an established area of research and scholarship, teaching excellence, and demonstrated excellence and commitment to supporting a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
  • Preference for the eligibility for RN licensure in Massachusetts.
