The Harvard College Writing Program at Harvard University has an immediate need for several preceptors to teach in Spring 2013. Each preceptor develops a writing course on an academic topic, and teaches one or two sections per semester of fifteen students per section. Salary and benefits are competitive. Contracts are for spring semester only; candidates for spring-only hiring are eligible to apply for a multi-year appointment that begins on July 1, 2013. Preference will be given to candidates with MFAs or with Ph.D.s in academic disciplines that are taught at Harvard College; who have college teaching experience; and who demonstrate a lively interest in issues of writing pedagogy.
