Elon University seeks applicants for a lecturer in Arabic, beginning in August 2013. Requirements: PhD (preferred) or MA by August 2013 in a relevant field with certification, or concentration in Arabic or related field (e.g. Arabic Studies, Arabic literature, or Second Language Acquisition), plus native or near-native fluency and undergraduate teaching experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity, engagement, and academic rigor in teaching. Responsibilities include teaching language, literature, and culture courses at all levels; must also be prepared to teach in the interdisciplinary general studies program and direct undergraduate research.
