The School of Arts and Sciences of Southern New Hampshire University seeks to fill the position of Assistant Professor of Sociology. This is a full-time position with an excellent benefits package. Sociology is a major in the Department of Social Sciences that also includes majors in Environmental Management, Law and Politics, and Public Service. The department is distinguished by an emphasis on experiential learning and internships as high impact education practices. The ideal candidate will have the capacity to integrate the essential learning outcomes of general education with the introductory curriculum of the discipline. The individual filling this position will demonstrate competence in teaching introductory courses in sociology. Overall experience and success in teaching an undergraduate student population are essential. The teaching load for the academic year is seven courses with a scholarly activity plan.
Earned doctoral degree in a relevant field at the time of hire.
