Broward College invites applicants for a full time tenure track teaching position in English.
Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners.
This position is a yearly two-semester (163 day) contract.
The anticipated hire date is August 2012.
Minimum Education:Master's degree in English or a closely related field, with 18 graduate credit hours in English is required.
Minimum Experience/Training:A demonstrated interest in remedial, developmental pedagogy is a plus, as is expertise in teaching composition and literature.
The successful candidate must have some college-level teaching experience, a high level of computer literacy, and a commitment to teaching at an open-access community college.
Broward College places special importance on helping under - prepared students achieve academic success.
Committee work may be needed. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain active professional development activities and service to the Department and College.
All schedules require office hours and some may require evening and/or weekend hours.
