This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Technical, Web & IT Services. The Head of Electronic Resources & Serials Department manages five library assistants; coordinates the purchasing, licensing, and access of electronic resources and print serial publications, including trials, quotes, new orders, annual academic department subscriptions review, renewals, cancellations, collecting and analyzing usage data, and troubleshooting; assists with the implementation and ongoing administration of the Librarys electronic resource management module; maintains catalog records, an A-Z list, an OpenURL link resolver; communicates with vendors regarding the librarys print and electronic subscriptions. The position is hands on, but also gives work direction. This position will serve as liaison and collection development librarian for several academic departments and serve on library and university committees. Qualifications: MLS degree from an ALA-accredited program. Familiarity with serials and/or electronic resources operations in an academic setting; knowledge of integrated library systems. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Faculty rank, status and benefits.
