As chief budget officer at UCLA, the Director, Budget Administration, serves as an adviser, policy creator, reviewer, planner and trainer, ensuring fiduciary responsibility to the campus, and participating in initiatives that have impact across the ten-campus University of California system.

The Director plays a key role within the campus Academic Planning & Budget (APB) unit and reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Planning and Budget. This position manages the campus general fund budget, and is responsible for the accurate budgeting of all core funds. With fiscal accuracy and careful attention to budgeting as a high priority, UCLA needs a highly skilled financial professional who possesses experience with strategic and tactical planning for multi-year budgets, negotiation skills and political acumen to work in partnership with campus CFOs, our sister campuses and the Office of the President to tackle existing and emerging budgetary issues.

This challenging position also holds responsibility for the annual budget close, and ensures accurate data reporting, which ultimately goes to the States Department of Finance.

UCLA seeks a seasoned professional with significant experience, background, and understanding of Federal and State laws and regulations that focus on higher education institutions resulting from at least eight years managing a minimum budget of $1 billion in the higher education field.
