Visual Arts in the Southeastern Louisiana University Department of Fine and Performing Arts is seeking applicants for Assistant Professor.  A Master of Fine Arts degree is required by hire date. Duties include teaching courses in New Media and Animation in a rapidly growing NASAD-accredited art department with over 400 students that houses three labs with over sixty MAC computers. Courses to be taught may vary between fall and spring semesters. Creative activity/research on a national level, advisement of undergraduate students, service on department and university committees, and assistance in overseeing the digital labs are required.  Applicants must be committed to working with diversity.

The mission of the Southeastern Louisiana University Department of Fine and Performing Art's Visual Arts Program is to educate students in the visual arts and art education with a critical foundation that incorporates a strong background in art history and solid technical and conceptual skills, with an emphasis on the development of visual languages, tools for critical thinking, and the expression of creative visions.
