The Charlton College at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth seeks two Accounting Faculty to start September 1, 2012; one at the Associate level and the other at the Assistant level. The Accounting Department is the largest and fastest-growing major at Charlton. The College has approximately 1500 undergraduates and 220 MBA students.

 

Associate Professor: The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of scholarship published in well-regarded, peer-reviewed Accounting journals. Candidates must have a minimum of four years experience teaching introductory to senior level undergraduate and graduate courses and provide evidence of excellent teaching. The candidates record must also show meaningful involvement in important service activities, and the ability and motivation to mentor junior faculty. A PhD or DBA in Accounting is required, a CPA is preferred.

 

Assistant Professor: The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in Accounting. ABD will be considered; employment contract will specify doctoral degree must be completed by March of the year following hire. Professional certification such as CPA is a plus. Must be able to teach a variety of levels, conduct scholarly research that leads to publication in well-regarded, peer-reviewed journals, and provide service to the University, School, or profession.
