The Business and Technology Division at Community College of Philadelphia invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position beginning Fall 2012.


Master's Degree in information technology, information systems, or a closely related field; OR
Master's degree in business with 18 credits of graduate or undergraduate coursework in information technology or computing.

Qualified applicants must possess the following:

Ability to teach System Analysis and Project Management courses and other courses as assigned, including CIS 103 - Applied Computer Technology;

Demonstrated knowledge of relational database management systems;

Relevant professional experience;

Recent demonstrated teaching experience;

Willingness to manage hardware and software used in class;

Willingness and ability to manage MSDNAA software licensing;

Willingness and ability to develop and maintain Systems Analysis and Project Management courses and related curricula;

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills;

Willingness to develop and implement student retention-related activities, participate in articulation with four-year school and outreach with area high schools;

Commitment to participating in the intellectual life of the department, and a willingness to participate in the life of the College through leadership in department and college-wide committees.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Teaching experience at a community college is highly desirable.

Project Management Institute's Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).

* Microsoft Project Certification.

* Relevant business experience preferred.

* Experience developing and teaching noncredit courses for workforce development.
