Position Summary  
Provides the learning activities and support that leads to the achievement of the course objectives and contribute to the educational environment of the college and community.  The faculty member's role encompasses the general areas of learning facilitation, personal and professional development, and institutional and community service.  Primary responsibilities are to plan, develop, and teach courses within the curriculum in a manner that facilitates student learning. Duties include but are not limited to, teaching courses in the Associate Degree program of Music.

Required Qualifications  
Master of Arts in Music (or higher) or Master of Music, or Master of Music in Education or Masters degree with 18 graduate hours in Music.
Specialized training in strings and orchestral conducting.
Successful leadership experience in directing orchestral ensembles at the high school and/or collegiate levels.

Preferred Qualifications
DMA or equivalent professional experience in orchestra conducting
Conducting training with a variety of instrumental ensembles at multiple levels

Salary is commensurate with qualifications.
