Huntington University seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in the Business and Economics Department.  Huntington University is in the people development business.  We are looking for a Business department faculty member who is passionate about developing the next generation of leaders who will be called on to serve our communities, to provide meaningful work for others, to generate profit for good works and to be godly and ethical global citizens.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to assist students in developing a variety of professional and life skills: in oral and written communication, in problem-solving and research, in leadership and interpersonal relationships, and in creative and strategic thinking. Evidence of successful teaching within a management and marketing curriculum is expected.  The ideal candidate will have additional professional leadership experience outside of academia. Competence with emerging technologies and social media is desired.  Each Faculty member is expected to be an active participant in the activities and governance process of the University as well as in individual professional and research activities.

The business department at Huntington offers B.S. degrees in accounting, economics and finance, management, marketing and entrepreneurial small business management, as well as supporting coursework for programs in Music Business and Recreation Management.  The department has three and half full-time faculty members and adjunct assistance.  About 100 students currently major in the business related programs.

Huntington University is an evangelical Christian liberal arts university of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ.  The University has approximately 1,200 students, 60 faculty, and is a member of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities.
