Job Description: The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Gynecologic Oncology, at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville is recruiting for a gynecologic oncologist at the tenure or non tenure accruing level of Assistant / Associate / Full Professor. The department is composed of 22 faculty members, three of whom are board certified gynecologic oncologists, who care for a large population in the center of Jacksonville. They also provide services at Shands Jacksonville Hospital, which is part of the University of Florida Health Sciences System. The Jacksonville campus of the University of Florida College of Medicine is composed of 400 full-time faculty members and 375 residents with all major specialties and subspecialty areas covered. This position will report to the Chief of Gynecologic Oncology and Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville. Duties and responsibilities included but are not limited to provide and maintain a high level of quality in-patient intermediate care services in all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Provide clinical teaching of trainees in Obstetrics and Gynecology and participate in the educational program. Responsible for excellent communication with primary care physicians. Assist in marketing the Obstetrics and Gynecology Program to community physicians and managed care organizations. Participate in monthly division meetings, administrative functions and institutional committees as requested. Responsible for maintaining a high level of quality in the academic functions of teaching, research, and service. Responsible for certain administrative functions to include supervision of housestaff and students. Minimum Requirements: MD\/DO and BC\/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and BC\/BE in Gynecologic Oncology A post-offer health assessment is required.
