University of Florida College of Medicine, Department of
Psychiatry is recruiting for a tenure or non-tenure track,
full-time, Assistant/Associate/Professor Physician in Addiction
Medicine. This position serves a critical role in the Department of
Psychiatry by providing outpatient evaluation & treatment for
those suffering from chronic pain syndromes, addictive disorders,
and impaired professionals in the community of Indian River County.
This faculty member will help in new program development with our
existing multidisciplinary Chronic Pain and Florida Recovery Center
(FRC) services, clinical and educational leadership for our
Addictions Programs at University of Florida and at the University
of Florida Center in Vero Beach. Duties will include outpatient
evaluation and treatment of complex pain and/or addiction patients.
You will serve important role teaching College of Medicine
students, residents, fellows who are UF house staff but assigned to
the UF Center in Vero Beach as part of the education mission.
Research and other scholarly activities are a major part of the
Division and College of Medicine. The successful applicant will
have a track record of clinical excellence, clinical leadership,
new program development skills, research or publications in
addiction and/or pain management.
Applicants should be Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry and be Board Certified in Psychiatry or Anesthesiology, M.D./D.O. Florida license is required as well as addiction fellowship training. Education, research and prevention activities related to addiction or pain medicine. Appointment in Anesthesiology and involvement with that academic Department is encouraged.
