About the Position: The Dean provides administrative and innovative leadership to Winona State University’s College of Business programs and overall management of faculty, staff, and students in the College, including responsibility for curricular and instructional quality within the College. The Dean of the College of Business participates in Deans Council and assists the Provost in providing academic leadership to the University. Additionally, the Dean is responsible for representing the College to internal and external constituencies. 

Qualifications: An earned doctorate in one of the major disciplines reflected in the College of Business from a regionally accredited institution; at least five years of demonstrated successful and progressive experience in higher education including both administrative (e.g. program director, department chair, associate dean) and full-time teaching; knowledge of and experience with AACSB accreditation; experience with methods and issues of assurance of learning; a record of building collaborative business and community partnerships; ability to lead the College’s fundraising efforts; ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively and think critically; knowledge of or experience with collective bargaining in higher education; commitment to and support for diversity and ethical behavior in faculty, staff, and students; knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations.
