Candidates whose portfolio demonstrate promise or evidence of achievement in fields that complement one or several of the existing areas of expertise in the School are encouraged to apply: cultural, global, sustainability, gender, diversity, migration, and media studies as well as cross- and intercultural communication. The successful candidate should have an interest in content-based, applied language approaches and the ability to teach and develop a wide variety of courses in an innovative German Studies curriculum on the undergraduate and graduate levels, and possibly in support of the School’s Linguistics minor. Interest in or experience with teaching business- or technology-oriented German and leadership in an immersive faculty-led study-abroad program oriented towards business, technology, and sustainability is highly recommended for this appointment. Experience or interest in teaching and developing online courses is recommended, but not required.
