Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication and Advertising

Colorado State University seeks an entry-level, tenure track assistant professor in strategic communication and advertising. The successful candidate will carry a 2/2 teaching load, including undergraduate skills and conceptual courses in advertising appropriate to the candidate’s background, and relevant theory courses at the graduate level. Additionally, the successful candidate will advise M.S. and PhD students, carry out research related to strategic communication and advertising, and engage in outreach and service activities. Required qualifications include a completed Ph.D. or advanced ABD status by August 2020, a contemporary research program in strategic communication and advertising, professional communication experience complementing the department’s converged curriculum, demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, and ability to teach graduate courses and advise M.S. and Ph.D. students. Application materials include a letter of application along with a curriculum vita, a statement of research focus, sample publications or conference papers demonstrating scholarly engagement, a statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching effectiveness, a diversity statement, and a list of three references.
