The Department of English at Temple University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position for a candidate with particular strengths in 20th and 21st century African-American and Caribbean literatures. The successful candidate will have earned a Ph.D. in English or a related field by August 2020. We seek applicants who demonstrate excellence in research and teaching in both these literatures and who have a strong desire to work with a diverse student population

The successful candidate will have a demonstrably strong research agenda in Caribbean literary studies. Teaching responsibilities include a 2/2 load with a mix of diverse undergraduate and graduate courses.
