Assistant Professor of Asian American Studies, Northwestern University

The Program in Asian American Studies at NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY invites applications to fill a tenure-track position in Asian American Studies at the rank of assistant professor, to begin September 1, 2020. We seek a scholar trained in any field; those whose work also addresses the following groups are particularly welcome: Chinese Americans, Filipino Americans, Pacific Islanders, Southeast Asian Americans, or West Asian Americans. The appointment will be in the Asian American Studies Program within the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate students in core courses as well as their research specialty, advising students, and program building. Preference will be given to interdisciplinary candidates with teaching experience working with diverse student communities. Ph.D. required by start date.
