The Department of Romance Studies and Program in Latin American and Latino Studies in the School of Arts and Sciences at Brandeis University invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Latinx Literatures/Cultural Studies beginning fall 2020. This position is subject to budget approval. We welcome a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives within the Humanities. Possible specializations include but are not limited to gender and sexuality, visual arts, performance studies, digital and media studies, Afro-Latinx studies, indigenous studies, trans-American studies, or migration and border studies. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential for excellence as a scholar and a teacher, and will have the PhD in hand by fall 2020.  Ideally, they will also have hemispheric interests and the ability to teach in both Spanish and English.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and a writing sample. You may be asked to provide two sample syllabi and a teaching statement in a later round.
