Assistant Professor - Computer Science

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, College of Science and Health, Department of Computer Science invites applicants for a full time academic year tenure track Assistant Professor to start no later than Aug 31, 2020. In addition to a vibrant Computer Science program, we are adding an undergraduate degree program in Computer Engineering starting in Fall 2020. 

We seek a colleague who shares the Department’s values and who will be a dedicated teacher, scholar and mentor for students with diverse backgrounds, preparation and career goals. Candidates for the appointment should have or be near to completing a doctorate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field by the start date. Degree must be earned by the first personnel review, no later than May 15, 2021. 

Primary responsibilities include teaching coursework in computer engineering and computer science at the undergraduate and graduate level, engaging in an active program of scholarship and professional service. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of teaching and research skills. The Department encourages candidates from all areas of computer science and computer engineering to apply.
