Requirements
Program Coordinator - Center for Intercultural Education and Development (CIED)
The http://cied.georgetown.edu/programs/gateway-to-georgetown/" target="_blank">Gateway Program Unit designs and implements educational exchange programs for international clients (universities, private companies, and governmental organizations) which are usually one to six weeks in length.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for developing, managing and implementing an growing number of short-term, executive programs. The Program Coordinator works with the Manager of Gateway Program and the Academic Director in the design and preparation of the program. During the implementation phase, he/she provides on-going support to international students to ensure that the group receives an excellent training experience while in the United States. The Program Coordinator also creates content and maintains the website as well as ensures that CIED's promotional materials are up to date and in stock.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Exceptionally strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience in event management or experience with educational programs
- Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines
- Outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication skills with ability to interact and communicate in a positive manner with a diverse clientele, including foreign universities, prominent social and political figures, and business executives
- Demonstrated effortto improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed
- Proficient with computer applications - a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn and master other computer technology/software programs as needed
