Key management position with the Wyoming Community College Commission.  Provides leadership and ensures coordination and administration of system-wide responsibilities in areas of research design, data reporting, policy analysis, assessment of effectiveness, workforce training, grant management, enrollment audits, common course numbering, student services and academic affairs.

Coordinates and supports the Academic Affairs Council, consisting of the academic affairs vice presidents of the seven colleges, in matters relating to statutes, rules, policies, program approvals, distance education, research, studies, reports, projects and services, including possible budget needs.

Coordinates and supports the Student Services Council, consisting of the student services vice presidents of the seven colleges, in matters relating to statutes, rules, policies, residency requirements, financial aid, research, studies, reports, projects and services, including possible budget needs.

Provides oversight and guidance for all aspects of the Wyoming Investment in Nursing, Wyoming Adjunct Professor Loan Repayment, and Veterans Tuition Waiver programs.  This includes program outreach and advocacy, outcomes reporting, administering the contractual services agreement with the financial institution responsible for student grants, and reconciling the allocation of funds among institutions.

Provides oversight and guidance for the Adult Education and High School Equivalency Certification programs.  Supports Adult Education outreach and advocacy efforts, contributes to outcomes reporting, and reviews and helps to modify, as appropriate, the Adult Education funding allocation model.  Assists in creating competitive grant and continuing grant applications for the Adult Education centers.  Participates in statewide programmatic meetings.

Provides direction and guidance to the enrollment auditor, reviews audit findings before distribution to the colleges, considers college responses to audit findings, and provides input to final audit determinations.  Oversees work related to articulation, common course numbering, assignment of levels of instruction, and program review.

In concert with the statewide community college strategic plan, advocates for, and coordinates academic, career-technical, dual and concurrent enrollment, and continuing education programs.  Supports instructional delivery through not only traditional means, but also outreach and coordinated electronic system technology.  Provides input to statewide educational attainment and economic diversification initiatives.

Creates agenda items and supporting documentation for Commission meetings.  Attends Commission meetings, and actively participates in discussions of both informational and action items.

Serves on and/or chairs statewide college committees, including those for workforce development and career-technical education.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree required in education, public administration, post-secondary education leadership, or an academic discipline taught in community colleges.  PhD preferred.

Five to seven years of progressive experience in post-secondary instruction and/or academic affairs administration and/or student services administration (institutional or statewide).
