The Department of Spanish and Portuguese invites applicants for a one non-tenure track, Assistant Teaching position in Spanish & Portuguese to begin Fall 2019. This is a three-year position with renewal contingent on excellent performance. Field of specialization is open. The successful applicant will teach 4 courses per semester of beginning through advanced language courses. The position requires native or near-native proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. MA must be in hand by time of appointment. The ideal candidate will have proven excellence in language teaching at all levels in a US institution, an active interest in current teaching methodologies and in the use of technology for classroom teaching as well as have experience teaching Luso-Brazilian literature and culture.
