POSITION:
Senior Lecturer (Instructional Academic Staff; non tenure-track
position), Management and Marketing, 100% academic year renewable
appointment in the School of Business and Economics
DUTIES:
• Teach courses in the Management and Marketing concentrations
of Business Administration. Courses to be taught include
Principles of Management, Human Resource Management, Principles of
Marketing, Marketing Strategy and Brand Management and other
management and marketing courses as assigned by the Director of the
School of Business and Economics.
• Advise students.
• Maintain scholarly activity and provide professionally
related services to the campus and community.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• Earned MBA, Master’s in Management, or Master’s in other
relevant business discipline from a regionally accredited
institution is required by February 1, 2019.
• University level teaching experience in business
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• DBA or PhD in a relevant business discipline from a
regionally accredited institution
• Work experience in business management and/or
marketing
• Experience or interest in teaching Internet Marketing or
other digital
marketing related courses
• Evidence of scholarship and activity in relevant
professional societies
• Demonstrated experience and commitment to continued
professional development in best practices in teaching and
learning, including use of alternative delivery formats
The successful candidate will be dynamic, energetic, creative, and engaging. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to the public liberal arts mission and to quality teaching and learning methods. Willingness and interest in utilizing technology in the classroom strongly preferred. The successful candidate must be committed to the highest ethical standards and demonstrate effective leadership and teamwork skills. Candidates that incorporate issues of inclusive excellence and diversity within their curriculum are especially encouraged to apply.
