The Honors Program at Creighton University seeks a dynamic teacher-scholar from a humanities discipline to serve as a postdoctoral teaching fellow.  The teaching load includes four courses per year, typically three sections of the Honors Foundational Sequence and one upper-division Honors Sources and Methods course.  The successful candidate should be able to teach Honors 100 (ancient thought and the beginnings of the Christian intellectual tradition) and at least one more course in the Foundational Sequence.  Successful candidates will be expected to take part in the life of the Honors Program (by participating in weekly planning meetings, attending Honors events, and holding office hours for student interaction).

Evidence of excellent teaching (such as course evaluations, a statement of teaching philosophy, records of course observations) and of scholarly potential are required.  The Ph.D. degree is required.  Interest or experience in Jesuit education preferred.  The position is renewable each year for up to three years with successful annual reviews.  Review of applications will begin January 16 2019.  Initial interviews will take place in mid-February.

Initial applications include a cover letter, current CV, teaching statement, graduate school transcripts, and other evidence of excellent teaching.  Recommendation letters not included in the candidate's portfolio may be sent directly to Dr. Jeffrey Hause, Honors Program Director, at JeffreyHause@creighton.edu
