Required: Candidates should hold an earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in the social sciences, including but not limited to Anthropology, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Urban Studies, Public Policy, or Social Work. Applicants nearing the completion of the doctorate (ABD) with an expectation of degree completion by August 31, 2019 may be considered. Applicants should send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, contact information for three references, evidence of teaching effectiveness, a statement of teaching philosophy, and an example of scholarly work. The initial application may also include up to three letters of recommendation. We also ask all candidates to submit a personal statement that details how you plan to promote diversity, equity and inclusion at Marymount Manhattan College. All application information should be sent to humsoc@mmm.edu; please include "Politics & Human Rights Tenure-Track Application" in the subject line. Applications received by December 10th will be prioritized. The position will remain open, however, until filled.
