Longwood University, a historic public liberal arts institution and host of the 2016 U.S. Vice Presidential Debate, invites applications for a three-semester position in German (#F0345) to begin January 2019.

The program in modern languages endorses active, communicative instruction in a sequence of courses that focus on the virtues and responsibilities of global citizenship. Lecturers assume appropriate department or program responsibilities and generally teach four courses per semester in beginning and intermediate German, but may also teach upper-level courses as needed. Requirements: MA or higher in German and evidence of effective college-level instruction.

A member of the Big South Conference, Longwood competes at the NCAA Division I level.

Salary is $43,900. Commonwealth of Virginia benefits accompany this position. A successful criminal background investigation is required.
