The Department of Political Science, International Affairs, and Public Administration at East Tennessee State University invites applications for the position of Associate Professor and Director of the MPA Program beginning August 15, 2019. The position carries a 2/2 teaching load, shared between the MPA program and the undergraduate Political Science program. The Department expects the successful applicant to guide the MPA program to accreditation and expand its enrollment and to maintain a reasonable level of research activity. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: NASPAA accreditation standards and process; online teaching and course development; program evaluation. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Public Administration or Political Science. An applicant with a Ph.D. in Political Science should have either an MPA degree or a subfield of Public Administration in the doctoral program. Experience with the NASPAA accreditation process and with online degree programs is essential.
