Position Description:

The Department of Marketing in the W. P. Carey School of Business at ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY invites applications for an Assistant Professor, tenure-track position in marketing with the appointment beginning in August 2019. Preference will be given to candidates who have an established research program in consumer behavior.

Essential Functions: The candidate must conduct high quality research that is published in the Department’s premier journals; effectively teach marketing courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level; serve as a research mentor to doctoral students and honors students; and interact effectively with colleagues to support and contribute to the mission of the Department in the areas of research, teaching, and service.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: 1) Possess an earned doctorate in Business/Marketing or closely related field or be close to earning the doctorate by the position start date. 2) Demonstrated ability to publish in scholarly Marketing journals or top-tier journals in related fields.

Desired Qualifications: 1) A strong research agenda in the consumer behavior area as evidenced by published papers in Marketing premier journals or premier journals in related fields and a research pipeline targeting those journals. 2) Ability to pursue external funding when available and appropriate for research program. 3) Experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level with evidence of teaching excellence.
